Domestic violence is the main cause of homelessness for women and children, Is affecting one in four women worldwide.. THIs issue is a global public health problem that requires urgent action. As a women i found data shocking, and it is sad that it affects so many women around the world with little change being made. I belived that designing a shelter with the right environment is crucial. I wanted to create a place where victim women can feel safe and at home, with opportunities to socialise and heal.
The goal was to create a place that brings joy back into the lives of domestic violence survivors.
