DESIGN FOR TEXTILES

A tail of suffering

My project was inspired by the physical effects animal testing has on the subjects. This collection is intended for the use in a gallery space to raise awareness for a topic I feel gets easily overlooked. People are generally aware of the effects that animal testing has, but the prevalence of the cruelty through our daily consumption of beauty and household products is often neglected.

This is the final piece in the collection. The dobby woven fabric is 2 metres long as it’s intended for an end use within a gallery. The woven fabric features hand dyed elements to contrast against the white of the fabric.
