Our Fashion Marketing & Retailing students undertake learning in fashion management and marketing with a retail specific focus. They develop skills needed to confidently deliver within fashion’s rapidly changing digital landscape. Our students work independently via practical and industrial-based projects allowing them to gain core skills that ensure strong skills for all areas of merchandising, promotion and retail. Our students are competent at sourcing raw materials and product development to production, distribution, marketing and sales.
Our honours year students have presented dissertations on topics from Baby Boomers going Digital and how retailers can engage these consumers when expanding online offerings through to Challenger Brands in the Sportswear Industry. They have also undertaken topics for considering if circularity is the way forward for retailers, data privacy and exploring the ethical issues of how and why personal data is collected and the ethics of Buy Now Pay Later schemes & how and why consumers were drawn to these.
