Drug overdoses and alcohol addiction have rapidly been increasing and spreading over the years in America specifically among young adults of age group (18-24) years primarily effected by environmental factors such as (peer pressure, disturbed relationships, divorced parents, traumatic experiences and depression). Seeking treatment is often avoided since therapeutic rehabilitation are considered gloomy and depressing. This project aims to answer the current design problem in the healthcare industry by proposing a space that implements interactive functional spaces fostering social interaction, positive health and holistic spiritual experiences. The concept was derived from the healing path of the end-users in four stages (Medical, Educational, Residential and Holistic). Each stage incorporates the most successful treatment therapies connecting nature and views of natural landscapes with the objective to create a home-like feel atmosphere in the space in-order to receive full recovery leading individuals towards a healthy lifestyle.
