POSTGRADUATE

Spinning Straw into Gold

I have been exploring how to connect regenerative agricultre to sustianable fashion. The practical project has involved growing, processing spinning and weaving flax into linen, along side academic work researching flax processing machinery, interviewing flax farmers and millers from 5 different countries, and surveying UK farmers. I hope this work will inform the creation of a soil-to-soil textile supply network which can nurture it's local environment and communities.
