BA (HONS) DESIGN FOR TEXTILES

Texture Comforts

TEXTURE COMFORTS is a woven fabric collection for interiors which aims to create a positive impression on mental health, through conscious design choices and textures. It contrasts architecture and nature as initial inspiration to inform the final blanket and interior accessories collection.

Aspects of mindfulness and relaxation combine to deliver positive mental health through comforting and meaningful accessories for interiors. These values for the design process will all contribute positively and constructively to the wider market and the future of attentive design.

Sustainability issues have been addressed through the use of natural fibres, recycled yarns and the use of ends of cones from other textile producers in the design and creation of these woven fabrics.
