BA (HONS) FASHION COMMUNICATION

FOUR

FOUR is a documentary publication that is currently documenting the regression we are seen within feminism with particular focus on the workplace. The regression in which many women are being subject has many similarities to the 1950’s housewife image where men are continuing to work, gain promotions and women are being handed all the domesticities, home-schooling etc. The only difference between the 50’s era and the era in which we are living in now is that women are still being expected to work and continue with their careers. While creating this publication I have looked at themes of housewives, working from home, stereotypes, the feminism movement and real-life lockdown effects on both men and women. The publication has a colour theme of red, white and black. This is to emphasise the need for gender equality in both the workplace and society as a whole.
