Eternal Memories is a collection that explores the concept of gender neutral to shed a light on the importance of designing towards the individual and not the gender.
Eternal Memories dives into the story that lays behind two opposite generations, my grandparents, and my parents. Childhood memories from a time when I was judged for wanting to be different as I liked to experiment with my dad’s clothing, have also inspired this collection. Furthermore, the Spanish surrealists is another aspect which is significantly present.
The aim of this collection is to create garments that tell a story that the wearer is eager to connect with. Garments that encapsulate elements from two different generations, combined with non-traditional pattern cutting such as subtraction pattern cutting and the Usha Doshi techniques of creating shapes with drape. The purpose is to create innovative pieces that are designed towards longevity, timelessness, and meaningful connection.
