BA (HONS) DESIGN FOR TEXTILES

‘Check please!’

From young age I’ve been attracted to expressive abstract art, chic fashion and bright colours. Studying textiles, I have been attracted to a distinct colour palette that I’ve enjoyed exploring through several projects, although I’ve refined this palette even more through my honours projects to produce a collection of fresh fashion fabrics.
I particularly enjoy using textured yarn to produce tactile and sensual samples. Through this collection I’ve taken inspiration from classic Chanel tweeds but with a refreshing twist for a modern consumer. I would want people to see my samples and find them aesthetically pleasing and exciting; unique yet approachable. I would love to take my colour and weave knowledge I've garnered forward into a design team for a fashion brand.
