BA (HONS) DESIGN FOR TEXTILES

Expressive Forest

My passion for storytelling and creating conversational designs has naturally lent itself to the development of my skills as not only a textile designer but also an illustrator and more recently a ceramicist. Through developing greater sensitivity to colour and composition, whilst deepening my lifelong love for traditional drawing and painting, studying has empowered my artistic expression to confidently span across a vast range of applications and scales including hand-painted murals and ceramics. I cherish the handcrafted qualities of my practice and find upholding this value a key component in maintaining the integrity of my work whilst expressing my signature style. My work is a devotional love letter towards nature and my aim is to inspire appreciation for the natural world and all its magic, whilst infusing colour, pattern and beauty into the everyday.
