BA (HONS) DESIGN FOR TEXTILES

They Look Groovy

‘They Look Groovy’ is a collection of knitted fabrics designed for A/W 22/23. The collection derives its name through retro/contemporary interior patterns, shapes, and colour story influences, combined to deliver a collection of genderless designs and garments. My fabrics explore bold, graphic pattern, aiming to make an expressive statement and encourage wearers to embrace their individuality. Colour and pattern are central to the way in which my work delivers individuality and confidence. Therefore, my exploration has focused on a critical analysis of colour proportion, scale, and placement. This transitioned from my sketchbook to fabric development and has enabled me to create unique, expressive designs.
