BA (HONS) DESIGN FOR TEXTILES

Everlasting Motion

A collection of knitted fabrics and garment designs that are a ‘twist on timeless’ whilst promoting body shapes from a range of cultures showing racial diversity within the fashion market.

Key influences for the collection is visual imagery of the natural surroundings, showing the everyday movement we see. In particular the free-flowing motion of snow and water. By extracting visual qualities such as subtle textures and fluid movement.

The use of a more neutral colour palette, influenced from research and visual imagery to aid in the designs being timeless. Combining classic lace stitch techniques with modern fluid frilling movement to create the ‘twist on timeless’.
