The fashion industry currently promotes modest clothing with a perspective focused on religious ideology. This in turn has created a mini-industry, in which women have felt isolated by the misconceptions of modest clothing. In the research conducted for this project, many respondents found it difficult to source clothing that suits their needs, while considering their variation of styling.
This collection promotes inclusion and diversity of women from different cultures, using modular detaching components that alter for a sustainable and long-lasting wardrobe. A fusion of cultures is used to identify the needs of modest dresser’s, as it should not be stereotyped to a specific demographic or religion. This collection designed, allows the garments to conform to the wearer’s definition of modest wear.
This outfit can detach from full sleeved to sleeveless with concealed buttons, appealing to modest dresser's from different cultural backgrounds. The panels on the top, reflect the architectural structures, I took inspiration from. Architecture provide shelter, as does this outfit. This outfits shelters the silhouette with panels.
